Gua Tempurung (approx. 24km)
One of the most majestic white marble and limestone towers in Malaysia is the Gunung Tempurung. Concealed within this limestone massif is an intricate system of caves of various dimensions honeycombed inside the limestone hills. These caves are actually a breathtaking gallery of stalagmites and stalactites and other amazing rock formations which are superb speleogical wonders found only in this part of the world.

Perak Tong (approx. 6km)
Perak Tong, a limestone cave temple, is located at Jalan Kuala Kangsar, 6km to the north of Ipoh. This temple houses over 40 Buddha statues, the centre piece being a 12.8m high sitting Buddha. Beyond the main altar, there is a passage which leads into the interior of the cave. After a steep climb of 385 steps, the cave opens again to reveal a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.

Kek Lok Tong (approx. 7km)
The Kek Look Tong Cave Temple is a tourist attraction situated in the natural and picturesque area of Guning Rapat in the south of Ipoh - the capital of Perak state in west Malaysia. It is owned and managed by Kek Look Seah (a not-for-profit organization).

Sam Poh Tong (approx. 5.5km)
Sam Poh Tong, discovered in 1912, is a Chinese Buddhist Temple within a natural limestone hill. Developed by the Buddhist community and now has become an international tourist spot attracting visitors from all over the world. Among the main attractions there are a beautifully decorated pavillion in front of the temple and a landscaped garden with a fish pool, which was awarded " The Best Landscaped garden" in Malaysia 1993.

Kellie's Castle (approx. 15km)
This unfinished castle was the brainchild of William Kellie Smith, a Scottish rubber tycoon during the late 19th Century. Located in Batu Gajah, the castle though commonly referred to as Kellie's Castle, is often spoken of as Kellie's Folly.

Ipoh Turf Club (approx. 2.5km)
The Perak Turf Club is the custodian of a Perak racing tradition dating back to 1886 when the first meeting was held at Taiping, then the state capital.
Ten years later, according to available records, the Kinta Gymkhana Club held its first meeting at Batu Gajah with the running of the Perak Derby.
Ipoh was a fast-growing at the turn of the century and the Ipoh Gymkhana Club was started in February, 1913. In due time meetings at Batu Gajah faded out and Ipoh became the main centre of racing, although the Perak Gymkhana Club and Taiping Turf Club were to carry on racing at Taiping for many years until the Japanese invasion.

Dr. Seenivasagam Park (approx. 1km)
The Dr. Seenivasagam Park, or more known as DR Park to the locals, is the most famous recreation park in Ipoh.

Japanese Garden (approx. 2km)
Located near the Perak Turf Club in lpoh (island of Perak), this public park recreates the aesthetics of a Japanese garden. A small Japanese house, a koi pond and a wooden bridge across a stream are some of the elements. The grounds are lush with a variety of beautiful tropical flowers, plants and trees. An idiosyncratic attraction is the colorful floral clock on a slope.

Royal Perak Gold Glub (approx. 4km)
Royal Perak Golf Club began as Ipoh Golf Club (IGC), a humble nine-hole course on the Race Course, before the turn of the last Century. In 1932, as a result of the growing membership, 180 acres of land were acquired along the then Tiger Lane to construct an 18-hole golf course, and a new improved clubhouse added.
