5. CURTAILMENT EXPENSES

Reimbursement for forteited prepaid travel cost or additional travel and accommodation expenses incurred, if it is necessary and unavoidable to cut short your trip.

6. HOME CARE

Fire damage to contents of your home while you are staying at Tune Hotels.

7. HOSPITAL ALLOWANCE

For each complete day as a hospital in-patient, during the time you were booked to be staying at Tune Hotels. The maximum number of stay is 10 days only.

8. LOSS OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Reimburse travel and accomodation expenses including cost of obtaining replacement passports, travel tickets and other relevant travel documents

Section 1 – PERSONAL ACCIDENT
We will reimburse you if you die in an accident or are totally permanently disabled, during your stay at any of the Tune Hotels in Malaysia, regardless of location. Total permanent disablement means a disablement which lasts for at least twelve months and prevents you, the covered person, from engaging in gainful employment for the rest of your life.

Section 2 – ROOM CANCELLATION
We will reimburse you for loss of irrecoverable deposits or charges paid in advance or contracted to be paid  if you have to cancel your stay due to circumstances beyond your control such as death, injury, illness or accident involving you, your spouse, parents, parents-in-law, children, brothers or sisters.

Section 3 – DELAYED CHECK IN
If your room check-in is delayed by Tune Hotels, we will reimburse you up to RM50 for every hour of delay.

Section 4 – MEDICAL AND OTHER EXPENSES
We will reimburse you for the necessary expenses incurred as a direct result of bodily injury sustained during the period of cover :

A. Accidental Medical Reimbursement
If you sustain a bodily injury as a result of an accident during the period of cover, we will reimburse you for the medical, hospital and treatment expenses.

B. Emergency Medical Evacuation
If you need to be transported to the nearest hospital where appropriate care and facilities are available  because of a medical condition, and cared for en-route, we will reimburse the resultant expenses. If you are in a remote area where the Emergency Service cannot be contacted in advance, your need for Emergency Medical Evacuation must be reported as soon as possible. We retain the right to decide where you shall be transported.

C. 24 Hours Travel Assistance
We will provide you with a 24-Hour Travel Assistance Hotline for advice and guidelines on  immigration, visa information and medical evacuation, in case of emergency.

Section 5 – CURTAILMENT EXPENSES
“Curtailment” means abandoning your planned  trip, by returning your place of residence (in Malaysia),after you have arrived at the booked desti nation, as shown in the booking invoice .  
If you have forfeited your prepaid travel costs (travel and accommodation expenses)due to :

  • serious injury or illness and upon medical advice;
  • unexpected death, serious injury or illness of your spouse, children, parents, grandparents, parents-in-law, brothers, sisters, or of the person with whom you are travelling.
  • hijacking of the aircraft in which you are a passenger
  • nat ural disasters which prevent you from continuing with your scheduled trip.

We will reimburse the costs you have already paid. In the case of a hijack or death, the proportional return of the irrecoverable prepaid cost shall be calculated from the date of occurrence to the expiry of the cover. This coverage is effective only if the policy is purchased before you become aware of any circumstances, which could lead to the disruption of the planned trip .

Section 6 – HOME CARE
We will either pay to repair, reinstate or indemnify you against the physical loss or damage to the contents of your home (valuables and/or stamp, coin, medal collections, works of art) caused by a fire that occurred during the period of cover and only after your trip has begun. This means that if the fire began before you left home, this cover does not apply.

Section 7 – HOSPITAL ALLOWANCE
If you are admitted in a hospital (licensed for surgery) as an in-patient on the recommendation of a medical practitioner as a result of bodily injury sustained during the stay at Tune Hotels, we will pay to you a benefit for each complete day you are hospitalized up to the maximum limit specified above, provided a valid claim is payable under section 4A.

Section 8 –LOSS OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
We will reimburse you for :

  • the loss of your travel & accommodation expenses arising out of robbery, burglary or theft during your stay at Tune Hotels within the period of cover. Such losses must be reported to the local police at the place of loss within twenty-four (24) hours after the incident and a written statement from the police must be obtained to substantiate the claim. We will also reimburse you for:
  • any additional travel and accomodation expenses incurred for obtaining replacement passports, travel tickets and other relevant travel documents.
